We are glad you are interested in starting your care with Healing Waters. We strive to ensure our services are an appropriate fit for each patient. If we determine our care would be beneficial for you, we will be happy to confirm your requested appointment. We know your time is valuable. We value your time, and if we believe another provider would beter meet your needs, we will be happy to provide a referral accordingly. Please complete and submit your initial interest questionnaire. You will be notified of the outcome once it has been reviewed.

Initial consultations typically last 60-90 minutes. This allows time to complete a comprehensive evaluation, review the results, and discuss an individualized treatment plan. Education is provided, and questions are encouraged so the patient is well informed and able to actively participate in decision-making. Follow-up visits are generally 30 minutes in length.

Some medications are classified as controlled substances and are closely regulated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Nurse practitioners prescribe these medications in collaboration with a psychiatrist.
The decision to prescribe a controlled medication is made on an individual basis and considers several factors, including diagnosis, medical and mental health history, an in-person clinical assessment (which may include lab testing), evidence-based treatment guidelines, and a review of the Controlled Substance Monitoring Database (CSMD).
Patients who require more than one controlled medication will need to receive medication management from a provider outside of this practice.
-
There is no on-call provider available after business hours, on weekends, or on holidays.
Non-emergent requests, questions, or concerns must be submitted through the secure patient portal. Messages will be reviewed and responded to within 24–48 business hours during the provider’s normal office hours. The office is closed on all major holidays.
-
Consistent use of prescribed medications is essential for maintaining mental health. Refills are provided during medication appointments and are intended to last until your next scheduled follow-up.
If a medication appointment is missed, a standard medication visit is required before a full refill can be authorized. In limited circumstances, a short-term "bridge" refill may be provided to cover you until a rescheduled appointment; a prescription refill fee may apply for refill requests made outside of a scheduled appointment.
Any changes to medications require an appointment. Refill requests may be delayed when the provider is out of the office.
-
Established patients may view, schedule, and modify appointments using the self-scheduling feature in the patient portal.
-
Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, and our schedule is not double-booked. Except in the case of a true emergency including medical, inclement weather, and accidents, we will be ready to see you at your scheduled appointment time.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 24 hours’ notice so the time may be offered to another patient in need. Cancellations may be made by sending a secure portal message or by canceling directly through the appointment calendar in your patient portal.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a late cancellation fee of $50. Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice (“no-show”) will result in being charged the full visit fee. Repeated no-shows may result in discharge from the practice.
-
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require emergency care, please seek immediate assistance. This clinic is not able to respond to emergencies. Do not send messages through the patient portal for urgent or emergent concerns.
If you believe you are in danger or need immediate help, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Our goal is to ensure you receive the timely care and support you need.

Healing Waters does accept self-pay patients, as well as patients who choose not to use insurance for reimbursement. If our practice is out of network with your insurance plan, we may provide a superbill upon request. This document may be submitted by the patient to their insurance carrier for possible reimbursement; however, reimbursement is not guaranteed. Patients are responsible to contact their insurance provider prior to their first visit to confirm out-of-network benefits, coverage limitations, and reimbursement policies.
Visit fees may vary based on the length and complexity of the appointment. Initial consultations typically require more time and are therefore billed at a higher rate than follow-up visits. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or self-pay have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges prior to services being rendered. Additional information regarding the No Surprises Act is available in the website footer.
